Love Is Love
Family. Love. Betrayal. Lies
Love Is Love is about family, and what binds us; Is it love or is it lies?
Love Is Love explores the expectations we put on ourselves to be the perfect mother, father, daughter and son, and what happens when we are not perfect in the eyes of those that are suppose to love us the most.
Is blood really thicker than water?
Join us as we take a closer look into family…. ours… yours… and what it means to be family …in all it’s glory and it’s despair.
Love Is Love… but it’s never that simple.
Love Is Love will be choreographed by an all-male cast and produced and directed by Shannon Hsu. Each choreographer will tell the individual story of a family member and the type of love they are experiencing and explore the relationship and connection of each character, in their own dance style’ Contemporary, Hip Hop, Dance Hall or fusion.
It will star an adult cast as the lead characters as ‘The Family’, plus a protege will be chosen from our Dance Editorial PPDC course from each city, to star in each piece and be mentored by one of the choreographers.
We are also thrilled to announce that we will be choosing our ensemble cast from our protégés from our 2016 Production, 7 Vices! So stay tuned for the announcement of our ensemble cast!
We are so excited to be teaming up with amazing Australian Hip Hop and Contemporary choreographers to bring you an amazing DANCE show, inspired by the great Shakespearean stories of trials, tribulations and tales of family and love…with a modern twist!
“Doubt that the stars are fire, Doubt that the sun doth move his aides, Doubt truth to be a liar, But never doubt I love.” – Hamlet (Act 2. 2)
